Oceanside Pier

Stretching over 1,900 feet into the Pacific Ocean, the pier offers stunning views of the coastline and is a popular destination for fishing, strolling, and dining. With its rich history and unique charm, the Oceanside Pier has been a beloved attraction for locals and visitors alike for over a century. Beach 2 You Criteria:

Sand – Soft sand but a lot of rocks in the winter                   

Bathrooms – Yes by Towers 1 and 8               

Lifeguards – Yes, LG Tower 4, 6, 8                               

Distance – Short walk from the parking lot to the sand and ocean.                          

Parking: Paid lots only.           

Ambiance: Great for families, relaxed, and laid back.

The pier is filled with things to do. Want to rent bikes? Rent them at the pier at Wheel Fun Rentals located under the pier. Enjoy live music in the outdoor amphitheater filled with entertainment throughout the area. Need food? The Bistro has you covered. Located next to the amphitheater you can enjoy snacks. Thirsty? Head over to Aqua where you’ll find premium desserts and refreshments. The pier is great for kids and families as there is a large playground for the little ones and large grass area for picnics.

Close to the pier is The Strand which is a road that runs parallel to the ocean. The Strand is great for bikers, walkers, runners, dog walking, and sunbathing. The Strand’s is extremely busy with no parking available. There are plenty of vacation rentals and residence who live on The Strand. There are bathrooms conveniently available there as well and if you’re looking to rinse the sand off, there are showers located near Tower 1.

Just slightly south of the pier is Oceanside Beach Tyson Park which is great for families and kids as there is a big playground they would enjoy. The parking is very minimal, but you can find parking near Tower 7, which is a paid lot, and there are bathrooms located by Tower 5. Even farther south there is a very small and quant beach that is surrounded by homes called Buccaneer Beach this is near Tower 11; many locals like to enjoy this small area to get away from the summer crowds.
